Everyone is always welcome to join one of our trainings! Please contact us through our webform or Instagram @sisimajitu_finland for the times and locations.
Becoming a member is easy, just pay our membership fee through our Holvi web store!
Please bring your own water bottle and any snacks you might want to eat during training.
We dance barefoot when inside, outside you can wear trainers or any other shoes that are easy to move around in. For clothing, you can choose anything as long as it is comfortable and gives you freedom of movement. Either elastic or loose clothing works well, for example regular training pants or leggings.
Membership
The membership fee is €50 a year, or €40 for new members. The deadline for the yearly membership fee is 1.5.
Communication happens through our Telegram chat group, please ask one of our members during training about this. You can also contact us through the contact form. Be aware that any last-minute changes, for example due to weather when we train outside, and arrangement of all kinds of important things take place through the Telegram chat, so if you don’t want to be in the chat group, make sure someone sends you updates of all important information.
Performances
A few times a year we have performances, depending on who asks us and which places we find to perform. A regular festival for us is for example Yläkaupungin Yö.
Usually we have a workshop weekend as well. For two days we give dance and drum workshops, and maybe even learn to sing and play some other interesting musical instruments. Everyone is welcome to join, members and non-members.
Board
Early in the year we have our annual meeting, where we discuss together with our board what is going on in the group and you can vote on decisions to be made about Sisi Majitu. You are always welcome to become a board member yourself. Join us as a regular board member, secretary, treasurer, vice-president or even president!
Pictures and videos
Please be aware that if you become a member, you automatically consent to being photographed and filmed. Your pictures and videos might be used on our website, social media or other marketing. If you do not want this, please let us know and we’ll make sure you won’t be in any pictures or videos.
